The Commission on Higher Education, in collaboration with Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), is sharing the following links for various scholarship programs for teacher education majors in STEM:

1. TeachSTEM College Degree Scholarship Program

Scholarship Benefits

1. Scholarship Grant

  • Fixed annual grant
    • Public University: PHP 65,000
    • Private University: PHP 85,000
  • Education from esteemed Centers of Excellence/ Development
  • Scholarship grants sent directly to RBank accounts of scholars
  • Financial grants may be used for educational expenses like tuition, books, supplies, living expenses and conduct of research

2. Scholar Development programs

  • Access to capacity-building programs (i.e. leadership, upskilling, subject content)
  • A chance to be part of an educators community
  • Continue to serve in the public sector while completing your course

    • Private University: PHP 65,000
  • Education from esteemed Centers of Excellence/ Development

3. TeachSTEM Teacher Certificate Program

Application for TeachSTEM Teacher Certificate Program is now open! STEM Teachers, be more confident and more equipped in delivering STEM content!


The Teacher Certificate Program aims to provide and strengthen pedagogical skills to STEM educators who are non-education degree holders. This program will equip them with appropriate delivery modes needed in educating STEM learners.

Scholarship Benefits

1. Scholarship Grant

  • Fixed annual grant:
  • Public Institutions: PHP 30,000.00
  • Private Institutions: PHP 50,000.00
  • Released in tranches equivalent to the grant amount divided by the number of regular academic terms
  • Should the grant amount be insufficient to cover costs and fees, the Scholar shall shoulder deficiencies.

    • Access to capacity-building programs (i.e. leadership, upskilling, subject content)
    • A chance to be part of an educators community

    Application for TeachSTEM Master’s Research Grant is now open! You’re almost there! Take that step closer to completing your Master’s Degree.

    The Master’s Research Grant aims to provide financial aid to STEM educators pursuing the completion of their master’s thesis or capstone project as final requirement for their master’s degree program. This enables STEM educators to enrich their content knowledge, improve pedagogical skills and become highly effective mentors.

    1. Scholarship Grant

    • Fixed annual grant: PHP 50,000.00
    • Should the grant amount be insufficient to cover costs and fees, Scholar is to shoulder deficiencies

    2. Scholar Development programs

    • Access to capacity-building programs (i.e. leadership, upskilling, subject content)
    • A chance to be part of an educators community
    • Continue to serve in the public sector while completing your course
