PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE was the guiding philosophy of the SM Foundation, which was established in 1983 by Mr. Henry Sy, Sr. as well as Mrs. Felicidad Sy. Its purpose is to encourage people in their communities via health care, disaster relief, shelter, environmental initiatives, special needs treatment, plus education. The foundation has acted as the beating heart of the Sys’ SM Group Companies since its inception.

More than two decades have passed since the SM Foundation began offering scholarships to deserving college students. Educational opportunities are the most significant aspect in alleviating poverty, and the SM College Scholarship argues that young people may excel and realize their aspirations through the scholarship program.

Aboitiz Scholarship

The Aboitiz Scholarship application for this year is now available. Putting it another way, according to Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV), “an outstanding education gives a firm platform on which to develop extraordinary leadership qualities.” Aboitiz Scholarships, established by AEV, are intended to encourage and motivate students to value and respect their educational experiences while striving to make the most of them.

College and university students in the Philippines who are interested in pursuing degrees in STEM subjects or business-related fields will no longer have to be concerned about the expense of their education as of this year. As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, the Aboitiz Scholarship program will cover the majority of your tuition costs starting in 2023. (CSR).

Pagpupugay Scholarship (BPI Foundation)

BPI recognizes the extraordinary contributions of medical front-line staff in the battle against COVID-19. For the families of medical first responders who succumbed or became infected with COVID-19 while on the duty, BPI Foundation, the bank’s social development arm, has developed PAGPUPUGAY, a scholarship program.

Each student will get a scholarship of around Php 100,000.00 for each academic year, which will be used to pay tuition and other fees. This money will be delivered directly to the BPIF’s partner institution, avoiding any intermediaries. If a course’s prerequisites include participation in a summer session, financial aid will only pay the price of normal school year expenditures during the summer session. The government is providing financial aid to students enrolled in public universities and colleges in order to assist them.

In 2020, five (5) students were selected to be reviewed for renewal on a yearly basis. For the school year 2022-2023, a total of five (5) more students will be recruited. During the school year 2023-2024, we will hold off on making any judgments until we get new instructions.

Iskolar ni Juan

A collaboration between the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) and the Universal Robina Corporation (URC) has resulted in the creation of Iskolar ni Juan, a scholarship program for first-year Filipino college students from low-income households who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Recipients of the Iskolar ni Juan program will have admission to GBF Technical Courses that are registered with the Department of Education and Science and Technology (TESDA). Students who successfully complete the program will be entitled to get a National Certificate Level II, which will enable them to work at URC facilities after graduation.

It should be noted that candidates from the following provinces receive top priority: Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Quezon Province, Rizal, and Tarlac.

Ayala Foundation Scholarship

It was decided to establish the Ayala Scholarship in order to assist Grepalife personnel as well as the children of sales colleagues in their educational pursuits. The program was eventually expanded to include Filipino teenagers from low-income households and members of ethnic minorities.

PHINMA Scholarship

100% financial support, Php3,000.00 monthly allowance, Php2,000.00 book allowance, as well as many other benefits are available to students who apply for the PHINMA National Scholarship. In addition to real estate, PHINMA provides educational possibilities. The Big Brother and Big Sister Program, run by PHINMA, also serves to mentor young people (BBBS).

With the assistance of the PHINMA Foundation, financially underprivileged kababayans may complete their education and improve their overall quality of life. Megaworld Foundation, INC.

Megaworld is predicated on the premise that a company’s primary purpose is to benefit the community at large. If they want to be successful, they believe they must do so while simultaneously giving back to the communities in which they operate. Metrobank Foundation

In 1995, the Metrobank Foundation established a scholarship program to provide exemplary educational opportunities to academically gifted but financially challenged kids. The Foundation believes that education is critical in the eradication of poverty, and thus established the scholarship program. This aim was fulfilled through the formation of various scholarship programs, all of which are still active today.
