AHME Scholarship Program 2023

AHME Scholarship Program 2023 – The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) thru Access to Higher and Modern Education-Scholarship Program (AHME-SP) will be announcing the application for academic year 2023-2024 (4th Cohort). Interested applicants may submit their application online through AHME Portal.

Please be guided accordingly and complete the details as required for the online application, procedure, documentary requirements, BARMM priority programs and general guidelines provided.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the AHME Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of the Philippines
• Be a resident of the BARMM
• Have graduated from a senior high school in the BARMM
• Have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 85% in senior high school
• Come from a low-income family

Application Procedure

The application process for the AHME Scholarship Program is as follows:

1. STEP 1: Prepare the complete documentary requirements.
2. STEP 2: Scan and convert into PDF Files.
3. STEP 3: Open the AHME Portal link and click ONLINE APPLICATION.
4. STEP 4: Register using your existing e-mail address to get the verification code.
5. STEP 5: Log In to your e-mail address inbox and click the verification code to verify and continue.
6. STEP 6: Fill out the online AHME-SP Application completely with all necessary required fields and attached PDF files.
7. STEP 7: Wait until you completely filling out and notification from the system of successfully applied.

Documentary Requirements

The required documents are as follows:

Citizenship Document:

• Original copy of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate;
• 2 copies of 2×2 ID Picture with nametag (white background);
• Certificate of Residency from the Barangay where the applicant reside.

Academic Document:

• Original/ Certified true copy of Form 138 or Report Card Grade 12 first semester for senior high school graduates;
• ALS Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer Certificate for Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduates.

Financial Document:

NOTE: The applicant shall submit AT LEAST ONE of the following documents:

• Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of one or both parents (if working);
• Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) (if non-working) with attached affidavit of Low Income;
• Certificate of Indigence of both parents either from his/her barangay or DSWD/MSSD;
• Case Study report from DSWD/MSSD;
• Latest copy of contract or proof of income (for children of Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and seafarers).

For Underprivileged, Disadvantaged, Marginalized, Poor And Low-Income Sector Or Group:

NOTE: The applicant shall also submit ANY of the following documents:

• Single Parent ID from the Municipal or City Social Welfare and Development Office;
• Original copy of Certification of IP parent/s from the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs (MIPA)-BARMM;
• Person with Disability (PWD) ID from the Municipal or City Social Welfare and Development Office; Senior Citizen ID of Parent/s or Guardian from the Municipal or City Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA);
• Certifications of Death of Parents or Certification of Being an Orphan from the Barangay or Municipality/City;
• Original copy of Certification of Being an IDP from the Barangay or Municipality/City.

For The Combatants, Their Children, Orphans, Or Surviving Spouses:

• Certification from the MILF and MNLF Peace Mechanisms that the applicant is a former MILF combatant or his/her children; and/or
• Certification from MILF and MNLF Peace Mechanisms that the applicant is an orphan, his/her parent is a widow/widower due to the armed conflict, or is a surviving spouse.
