Twenty-five grants will be given out in the US round, and fifty-five will be given out in the International round, with roughly two-thirds of the rewards going to PhD students.

Eligibility Criteria of Gates Cambridge Scholarship
- Be a citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom
- Have applied to start studying for an eligible postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge by the time you take up your scholarship
- Have been offered admission to study at Cambridge judge Business School, Lucy Cavendish College, St Edmund’s College or Wolfson College
- Demonstrate outstanding intellectual ability and leadership potential
- Intend to remain in residence at Cambridge for the duration of your course.
In addition to these general criteria, each college has its own specific requirements that you’ll need to meet in order to be considered for their scholarship. How to apply for Gates Cambridge Scholarship 2023-24 in the UK
If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, here are some tips to help you get started.
First, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a citizen of an eligible country and be planning to study for a postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. You can find a list of eligible countries on the Gates Cambridge website.
Next, you will need to submit an online application form. In your application, you will need to provide information about your academic background and achievements, as well as your extracurricular activities and leadership experience. You will also need to write several essays, including a personal statement and a research proposal.
